On behalf of the
Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, (IIHT), Guwahati, the Directorate of
Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture, Govt. of Tripura invites application
from the Indian Citizen those who are permanent resident of Tripura as per
prescribed format for admission in 1st year of 3 (three) years
Diploma in Handloom & Textile Technology course at the Institute (IIHT)
Guwahati for the academic year 2020-21, which is to be commenced from 16th
July 2020.
State-wise Allocation of Seats:
1. Assam: 17
2. Manipur: 10
3. Tripura: 08
4. Nagaland: 05
5. Mizoram: 02
6. Meghalaya: 02
7. Arunachal
Pradesh: 03
8. Sikkim: 03
Educational Qualification: Passed SSC/Madhyamik (10th
Std) or Equivalent Examination with English as a subject of Study. (Aggregate
of marks obtained in Science group in SSC (10th Std) or equivalent
qualifying examination shall be the basis for determining the merit of a
candidate).
Age Limit (as on 16th July 2020): The Age Limit for General candidates should
be between 15 to 23 years and for SC/ST candidates between 15 to 25 years.
How to Apply: Details information including
prescribed format of application of the Institute may be obtained from the
Handloom Section of Office of the undersigned during the Office hour. The last date of the receiving dully filled
up application is 05.06.2020. The candidate is to be appeared before the
interview board for counseling on 22.06.2020 at 11.30 AM in the office of
the undersigned along with all original documents.
